On the surface, the statistics Don Drummond alludes to correlating educational attainment with rates of employment and lifetime earnings seem incontrovertible. However, I can’t help wondering if this is something of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Why exactly is it that entering the word force with only a high school diploma leaves one’s employment opportunities so constricted relative to 20 or 30 years ago? I
